Once home to novelist John Buchan, Broughton now houses a small independent brewery, Broughton Ales, which blends the finest malt and hops and a bit of local legend to make a distinctive range of beer, stout and lager. In the village’s 17th century style Scottish Tower House, the Broughton Gallery exhibits and sells contemporary art and craft.
