Take part in the Our Scottish Borders photography competition to win the chance to have your photograph printed on 3,000 promotional postcards as well as being part of the Our Scottish Borders image bank and included in a photography exhibition!  Your images will help to promote the Scottish Borders as a great place to live, work, visit and invest.

How to enter

The competition is split into three categories: professional photographers, adult photographers (non professional) and children 16 or under (non-professional photographers).  Download your entry form, the rules of the competition and copyright agreement.  Entries must be received by Friday, 20 August.

Image themes
 
Images should cover different seasons and present images from as many towns in the Scottish Borders as possible, covering the following themes:

• - Adventure and outdoor activities
• - Culture and events
• - History and heritage
• - Seascapes, landscapes and rivers
• - Town centres and retailing
• - Rural life and open spaces
• - Strong communities, way of life
• - Traditional and modern industries
• - Food and drink
• - Arts and crafts

A judging panel will select two winning and up to five runner-up images for each category.

The prize!

The winning images will be produced on postcards and be part of the Our Scottish Borders promotional postcards set.
All winning and runner-up images will be included in the Our Scottish Borders image bank to help promote the Scottish Borders.  An exhibition of the winning and runner-up images will take place in the autumn.
